Remixomatosis jest wynikiem konkursu, jaki Marillion ogłosił w 2003 roku na zremisowanie utworów z albumu Anoraknophobia. W tym celu udostępnił oryginalne taśmy matki z ścieżkami instrumentów, które umieścił na 8 płytach CD. Napłynęło blisko 500 zgłoszeń, co znacznie przerosło oczekiwania. Efekt niektórych prac był wręcz zaskakująco dobry. Prócz wynagrodzenia pieniężnego, najlepsze utwory zostały umieszczone na tym wydawnictwie, i to na dwóch płytach, gdyż trudno było wybrać jednego zwycięzcę. Marillion postanowił pójść o krok dalej i kontaktując się z najlepszymi didżejami, przekazać im to obróbki kompozycje Your’e Gone oraz Don’t Hurt Yourself. W efekcie otrzymaliśmy wydawnictwo You're Gone (Remix) na 12” winylowym singlu.
